Family farming is a concept used to describe production units, structured by family work and qualified by the relationship between land, work and family. It can be said that the statement of the main family agricultural activities is one of the main agricultural activities by man. And for a long time we observed a very specific figure in a leading role, while the woman had a lesser prominence, often as an assistant to the figure, even performing important activities. Objective of the present work is to analyze the participation of rural women living in the community of Lagares/Ce, indicating their parameters of income generation in family farms. Based on the bibliographic research, in addition to the field research, we proposed to demonstrate the role of women in agriculture and their reality in our region, pointing out that the reality of women in agriculture is at least unsatisfactory, and even recognizing that compared to the past , Any progress. The role of women in generating income from family farming, describing the activities performed by women and how these activities contribute to income generation for this production system.
